I was invited to film the Montauk Skate Contest 2024, and it quickly turned into one of those moments you don’t really plan, but end up remembering. Montauk has a really specific energy — it’s been a surf spot for years, and you can feel how skateboarding naturally grew out of that. The skatepark, built in honor of a local legend, pulls together a community that genuinely lives it, not just shows up. Everyone there skates with heart, the vibe is super real, and it’s more about the people and the moment than anything else. I just tried to capture that as honestly as possible — the movement, the atmosphere, and those small in-between moments that make it feel like you were actually there.
